The Sydney College of Divinity is a tertiary education institution providing high quality, accredited awards in theology and related areas through the teaching colleges that are its member institutions. Formed in 1983, the SCD began as a consortium of theological colleges in Sydney. Further development has seen the College reach beyond Sydney to provide theological education across Australia, in New Zealand, and by distance across the world.

Its ecumenical commitment grows stronger each year. Our member institutions offer courses in line with their church traditions and ethos, while all work together to ensure the academic integrity of the academic programs. We teach a range of degree programs, from undergraduate programs (Dip Th, DipChSt, AssDeg ChThPr, BMin, BTh BTh(Hons)) in theology and ministry, postgraduate programs (GradCertA, GradDipA, MA, MTh, MDiv) through to research degrees including three doctoral awards( MA(Hons), MTh (Hons), DMin, ThD, PhD).

The Sydney College of Divinity is registered as a Higher Education Provider under the Higher Education Support Act 2003. Our degrees and awards are accredited by the NSW Department of Education and Communities with a number of awards also registered in Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia. The SCD is also a CRICOS provider in New South Wales (CRICOS Code: 02948J), Queensland (CRICOS Code: 02904K) and Western Australia (CRICOS Code: 03284C).
